The Greek Finance Ministry issued a statement saying that taxpayers’ farm plots would not included in the supplementary tax form of the unified property tax (ENFIA). The Ministry issue the statement after a number of media reports claimed the opposite, while the statement also clarified that the number of payments for the tax property would be 5 and not 4. It added that the first payment was due at the end of September, contrary to reports that said it would have to paid in August. The statement also made it clear that the total amount of the tax to be paid was similar to last year’s, while it also stressed those taxpayers exempt from paying the tax were the same as last year.
