We have heard of different kind of injuries in football or other sports. But what happened to Javier Mascherano during the match against the Netherlands is unique and… painful.

It was just before the end of regular time at World Cup semi-final when the defender Arjen Robben entered the box and was ready to score. But, Mascherano’s tackle saved the team.

However, he paid the price since, as he confessed after the match, he tore his arse to make this match-saving tackle against Robben!

“I thought I had slipped, I thought I wouldn’t make it, but I tore my arse on that move, the pain…” he admitted.
