Aquaworld Aquarium in Crete is among the top aquariums in the world

Aquaworld Aquarium has been in Hersonissos, Crete, since 1995 and includes local sea life and reptiles

Tripadvisor announced the winners of its Travelers’ Choice™ awards for Zoos and Aquariums around the world and Aquaworld Aquarium located in Crete, Greece is ranked 6th among the top 25 aquariums in the world.

“For those wanting to see the world’s most wondrous creatures, TripAdvisor has named the Travelers’ Choice Zoos and Aquariums, as chosen by the community of millions,” said Barbara Messing, chief marketing officer for TripAdvisor.

Award winners were determined using an algorithm that took into account the quantity and quality of reviews for zoos and aquariums worldwide, gathered over a 12-month period.

Aquaworld Aquarium has been in Hersonissos, Crete, since 1995 and includes local sea life and reptiles, as well as a growing number of snakes, lizards and tortoises from other countries.

In the wake of the OPEKEPE case, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced on Monday a proposal that ministers should no longer simultaneously serve as members of Parliament after the 2027 elections.
