In a statement issued by the newly elected mayor of Piraeus is stressed that the incident “challenges the country as well as the democratic attitudes of the vast majority of citizens of Piraeus”, while he expressed the belief that “every effort will be made to apprehend and punish those who fail to understand that they can’t be undisturbed and unpunished to challenge the Republic. ”

Further Mr. Moralis condemns this hideous act and expresses his conviction that the perpetrators will be arrested and brought to justice in order to be punished accordingly.
