The private meeting of the presidents of Ukraine Petro Porosenko and Russia Vladimir Putin in Minsk, Belarus according to the Ukrainian presidency in their announcement via Twitter.
Shortly after Kremlin confirmed the information of the ongoing direct talks between the two presidents.

A few minutes earlier the president of Belarusian had assured that in the summit held in the country all sides agreed on the need for de-escalation of the crisis in Ukraine.

The discussions were not easy, noted Alexander Lukashenko while he stressed that the positions of both sides in some places are “fundamentally” contradictory.
“Everyone wanted a significant progress” but the fact that this meeting took place is a success, said Lukashenko.
