A delegation representing Chinese organizations, accompanied by China’s Ambassador to Athens, Xiaoli Zou, will meet with Minister of Environment, Energy and Climate Change, Yiannis Maniatis on Tuesday, according to an announcement.
The meeting will take place at 2:00 pm and it will focus on bilateral cooperation in the sector of research and exploitation of natural resources, particularly in the sector of minerals.
It should be noted that the metallurgical and mining industry today is among the most dynamic and export-oriented sectors of the Greek economy. In fact, the mineral resources found in Greek soil are worth, based on estimates, approximately 30 billion euros.
The Chinese mission was held as a follow-up to the talks held between the prime ministers of the two countries in the recent visit of the Chinese prime minister to Greece last June.
