The one-year-anniversary marking anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas’ murder on September 18 is spearheading anti-fascist rallies, and the Hellenic Police are bracing themselves for a terrorist hit. Meetings at the Public Order Ministry over the last week were held to lay out plans to ensure that the force is able to handle any snap occurrence while terrorists such as Paula Roupa, partner of Revolutionary Struggle leader Nikos Maziotis is still on the run following his capture by the police on July 16.

The police also point out that the double murder of ultra-nationalist Golden Dawn members at Neo Irakleio has yet to lead to an arrest, meaning that the assailants are still a threat.

Meanwhile, anti-fascist rallies are organized at Keratsini and in other parts of the country on September 18 to commemorate the death of the popular leftist rapper, whereas a concert is being held at Syntagma Square on September 19.
