According to the Police, the toddler was playing in the square with her little brother, when she touched part of a lightning column that was missing a protective cap for so far unknown reason.

She then lost consciousness and was immediately transferred to the University Hospital, were the doctors provided her medical help. Then she remained in the pediatric clinic, while the incident is under investigation.

It is worth noting, according to the thebest.gr, that the child’s father Mr. B.A. who was with the child at the time stressed that he was close of losing his child, while he will be making a law sue against  those responsible. He concluded that his little girl survived the worst because she was wearing shoes from plastic.
