The impressive American Vehicles Carrier, the ARC INDEPENDENCE sailed yesterday Saturday in the port of Alexandroupolis.

Its arrival is in support of the large military exercise “Atlantic Resolve” and transports helicopters and vehicles, which will begin to unload in the coming days. At the same time, it will load military equipment, as well as helicopters that have already arrived in the port of Alexandroupolis from Romania and have already been dismantled, as well as vehicles, in order to transport them to the USA.

It is not the only cargo ship that will arrive in the port of Alexandroupolis in order to unload and then load military equipment of the American armed forces. More will follow, since, as stated by the American ambassador in Athens, Geoffrey Pyatt, the largest arrival of military equipment in the port of the city will take place in the next period.

The event that will take place in Alexandroupolis, in the presence of Mr. Payat and government ministers, is scheduled for December 3.
