Severe weather warning issued by the Hellenic National Meteorological Service

The phenomena will start from the west

The HNMS, Hellenic National Meteorological Service issued a severe weather warning with strong phenomena expected to start from the west.

The weather will worsen on Friday (03-12-2021) and Saturday (04-12-2021), with the main characteristics being local heavy rains and storms, and stormy winds.

In particular:

1. Heavy rains and thunderstorms will occur:

a. From the morning hours of Friday until noon on Saturday in the Ionian Islands, Epirus, western Sterea, and
western Peloponnese.

b. From the afternoon hours of Friday to the morning hours of Saturday in eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and possibly temporarily in central Macedonia.

c. From the afternoon hours of Friday until Saturday night in the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.
d. From Friday night to Saturday night in the Cyclades and Crete.

The weather in Attica will be generally good, with cloudy periods at noon. The winds will blow west southwest 3 to 5 and from the evening in the south locally up to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will range from 7 to 16 degrees Celsius.
