Turkish FM Cavusoglu direct threat to Greece and Cyprus: “They will pay a heavy price for abetting terrorists”

Cavusoglu accused Greece and Cyprus of abetting FETO and PKK terrorists

Newsroom January 20 04:17

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu launched direct threats against Greece and Cyprus on Thursday, after his meeting with the Estonian Foreign Minister, accusing the two countries of sponsoring Gulenists (FETO) or PKK terrorists by allowing them to remain in their countries.

“They are using and putting forward terrorist organizations to fight us. As Turkey, we have reached the point of solidarity with countries with which we have had the worst relations, in order to fight terrorism,” the Turkish politician in his opening remarks.

“We also know that the PKK and DHKP-C (People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front) terrorist organisations were trained in Greece and carried out attacks against us,” he said. “FETO Gulenists see Greece not only as a transit country but also as a place to settle as refugees. Greece is playing with fire by hosting them. I want to say this: they allow them to have delegations there. For this purpose, if there is an attack from their side towards us, they will pay a heavy price”.

In the same vein, Cavusoglu spoke of the presence of the PKK in Cyprus, threatening the Greek Cypriots that “they will pay for it” if there is an attack against the Turkish Cypriots. “Let them not play with fire,” he said.
