North Korean leader Kim Jong Un supervised and instructed exercises of the country’s tactical nuclear warfare unit from September 25 to October 9, North Korea’s official KCNA news agency reported today.
He pledged to strengthen the armed forces and added that he saw no need for dialogue with Pyongyang’s rivals.

According to the agency, the weapon that was test-fired on Oct. 4 — according to South Korea’s national defense general staff, was an intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) — and passed over Japan and the test was intended to send a more powerful and clear warning to Pyongyang’s enemies.
