The US embassy has called on its citizens to leave Ukraine due to Russian attacks that threaten the civilian population, the embassy’s press service said on its Facebook page.
“Russia has hit Ukraine’s political infrastructure, government facilities in Kyiv, and other cities. Russia’s ongoing attacks pose an immediate threat to the lives of residents and civilian infrastructure. The US Embassy urges its citizens to remain in shelter and leave Ukraine when it is safe to do so,” the message reads.
On Monday morning, Russia launched missile attacks in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and other cities. In total, 83 missiles were fired over Ukrainian territory, with 43 of them shot down by Ukrainian air defences.
