As reported by residents and activists today Government forces clash with rebels in the northern outskirts of Aleppo , as the Syrian army threatens to take control of the last main road and supply center of the city, while trapping  the opposition forces and citizens.

Although there other small roads to use, taking control of the main road will reduce significantly rebels potential to refuel and also will allow the army to besiege the city areas that have fallen under rebel control for the last two years.

According to the Syrian army state TV channel, Syrian army occupied 3 villages north of Aleppo.
