The statement of PASOK MP and Deputy Minister of Health Leonidas Grigorakos while talking to private SKAI TV station has created a major political issue, since he argued that “elections are just around the corner and all parties should be prepared!”.

The question, though, that arises is whether Mr. Grigorakos’ statement is a result of “stress” created by the recent polls conducted showing that the main opposition party SYRIZA leads over the coalition government.

The political conclusion, though, is that since the government seeks a vote for confidence to establish its power and stop any rumors for early elections, Mr. Grigorakos, who is Deputy Minister of the government, stresses that elections are inevitable!

Moreover, Mr. Grigorakos’ statement confirms the increasingly divergent opinions expressed by the coalition government parties, PASOK and New Democracy.
