The ultra-fascist neo-Nazi Golden Dawn (GD) party has reportedly issued guidelines for its members to follow so that they can follow the party’s savoir-vivre. Specifically, Greek newspaper To Vima reports that the party has advised their followers to refrain from posting Facebook statuses with wrong spelling as correct usage of the Greek language is a major asset for any GD member. Furthermore, the memo to GD members also includes a dress code where those manning the desks at GD offices are advised to where conventional clothing and avoid shorts, flip flops, mini skirts, low cleavage and be discreet in their attire. The memo points out that GD is not a “KKE (Greek Communist Party) sex bar”. Members are advised that a squeaky clean nationalist should take care of grooming. The advice doesn’t just limit itself to appearance but also extends to musical taste as GD members are told to avoid pasting “kapsourotragouda” (melodramatic Greek songs about heartbreak) on social media.
