44-year-old supermodel Naomi Campbell told Page Six in New York this week that she, like the rest of the world, was “scared” about the growing threat of the Ebola outbreak. As part of her determination to support the fight against the virus se announced plans to host a fashion show in aid of Ebola. The Fashion for Relief catwalk on Tuesday is aimed at helping victims of the virus, however Ms. Campbell also hopes that it will also raise public awareness and education about the little-known illness.
This isn’t the first time that the supermodel has organized a Fashion for Relief event. In 2005, she had raised over 4 million pounds for victims of Hurricane Katrina. The supermodel has also raised funds following the India terrorist attacks in 2009, the Haiti earthquake in 2010 and the Japan earthquake and tsunami in 2011.
