The Production and Trade Committee of Greek Parliament is being briefed on the findings of audits conducted in third-level farmers’ organizations. Rural Development Minister Paris Koukoulopoulos initiated the audit meetings.
The audits of groups such as the Pan-Hellenic Confederation of Unions of Agricultural Co-operatives (PASEGES), the General Confederation of Greek Agricultural Unions (GESASE) and the Confederation of Democratic Agricultural Unions of Greece (SYDASE) were completed a few months ago as a result of allegations of improver management of state funding from 1994 through to 2011.
