Development Minister Dendias met with Ambassador of Norway

Both sides agreed on the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries to achieve full and effective use of available resources

Development and Competitiveness Minister Nikos Dendias met with the Ambassador of Norway Sjur Larsen yesterday on the operation of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area in Greece, according to a ministry announcement.

Both sides agreed on the need to intensify cooperation between the two countries in order to achieve full and effective use of available resources.

Also, for the 2009-2014 period, the Financial Mechanism’s budget is 63.4 million euros. The program aims at renewable energy sources, research, immigration policy and social solidarity.

Under the same program, during the 2004-2009 period, 34.3 million euros was allocated, according to the ministry’s statement.
