Ozzy Osbourne wants to win an Oscar (video)

"Elton John's got one for a song"

Newsroom May 2 08:01

Ozzy Osbourne admitted he would really like to win an Oscar.

In the latest episode of his program on SiriusXM, “Ozzy Speaks,” the artist was asked what he hasn’t achieved yet in his long career.

And while he will soon enter the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a solo singer, Ozzy Osbourne says there is one thing he hasn’t won yet and would like to, an Oscar.

“You’ve got to f###ing be in a movie to win an Oscar,” co-host Billy Morrison replied while laughing. “Well, you asked me what I haven’t won,” Ozzy fired back. Osbourne pointed out that other musicians have won Oscars despite not acting in a film. “Elton John‘s got one for a song” he said.

In another part of the conversation, Osbourne expressed his desire to perform live without experiencing any mishaps.

Last November, Ozzy acknowledged the possibility that returning to live performances might not be feasible due to ongoing health issues, such as Parkinson’s disease and recovery from surgeries.

However, in January, Sharon disclosed that Ozzy was considering “two final shows” as a farewell before retiring from live performances altogether.

Recently, Ozzy Osbourne expressed his eagerness to collaborate again with producer Andrew Watt, stating that he was “eager to create more music.” The duo had previously worked together on Ozzy’s last two albums, “Ordinary Man” in 2020 and “Patient Number 9” in 2022.
