Highlights of Samaras speech

Newsroom October 15 08:02

The Greek Prime Minister initiated his speech to the Council of Ministers with the following reference:
“For a while now the markets indicate that Greece is doing very well, but there is always the political risk. Meaning, the uncertainty about whether the country will continue the path of reform. The last two days the opposition aggravated this image and as a result the markets reacted to the detriment of the country. ”
Mr. Samaras assured that :” Once again, the government will fully restore the issue of stability and confidence that the country needs”.
“Besides, just a few days ago, ‘continued Mr.. Samaras’ our government won an important battle in Parliament with the vote of confidence”.
“We are currently at a critical point, negotiating the closure of the last assessment, which after the stress tests of banks are completed the final settlement of the debt will follow, in order to enter into the “after the memorandum” season “, added the Prime Minister while outlined his strategy for the coming weeks.
“little by little we are strengthening our country to be able to move forward, while we avoid what others seek, meaning conflict with our partners”.
Further, Mr. Samaras raised the tones against the opposition, by stressing that: “Greece from now on will do even better. Which is exactly what they fear. Exactly what scares them. And exactly what they want to prevent. ”
Addressing his ministers, the Prime Minister said “they will not succeed.”
