Weather: June kicks off with high temperatures – When will we see 40 degrees?

Summer officially starts today with June making a “grand entrance” with temperatures exceeding 33 degrees Celsius, followed by a farther four days of intense heat.

According to meteorologists, a significant rise in mercury will begin tomorrow, Sunday, and will last at least until Wednesday (June 5th).

As Klearchos Marousakis mentioned in his forecast on OPEN, “We will see temperatures close to 35 to 36 degrees Celsius, locally even 37 degrees. It will be quite hot, significantly above the normal temperature levels for this season.”

The areas where the mercury will hit “red” will be Thessaly, the interior of Central Macedonia, Boeotia, Attica, Argolis, while in Corinthia and Laconia we will see temperatures even reaching 37 degrees Celsius. Additionally, in the eastern and southeastern Aegean, the heat will exceed 34 to 35 degrees.
