Newsroom June 8 11:34

Just 24 hours left until the polls open for the European elections. After a long campaign period, political leaders today, Saturday, traditionally, have a more relaxed schedule. It is typical that today Kyriakos Mitsotakis will welcome accredited editors in Vrilissia.

Around the same time, Stefanos Kasselakis will also welcome the accredited editors of SYRIZA at Thiseio. According to reports, the SYRIZA president will later walk around the centre of Athens.

Nikos Androulakis is in Crete and will remain in Heraklion until Sunday when he will exercise his electoral rights.

More specifically, today the President of PASOK will meet for the traditional break on the eve of the elections with executives in Hersonissos, and at 13:00 he will go to the cave in Oropedi and will end up in Agios Nikolaos where he will have lunch.

The general secretary of the KKE, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, has been in many parts of the country in recent days, and just the day before yesterday he was in Malesina. Today, Saturday, Mr Koutsoumbas will be in the centre of Athens and will meet candidates for the European Parliament and journalists.

For Alexis Haritsis, today is a heavy day. Today, he will go to Ritsona for the last farewell to his father, Byron. Few people knew that in recent months, and in the midst of an intense election period, the president of the New Left, was at the side of his father, who was fighting his own battle for life. After the ceremony, Mr Haritsis is expected to head to Kalamata where he will remain to vote.

Petros Kokkalis has reportedly left his schedule open today, wanting to rest and gather strength for tomorrow.
