The findings emerged after a coastal search conducted by officers from the Directorate for the Suppression of Arson Crimes, under the orders of a prosecutor. Investigators meticulously examined every inch of the site and discovered traces of firecrackers. According to well-informed sources, the caliber of these firecrackers indicated they were of the Cobra type—powerful explosive devices often used during Easter celebrations that can cause severe injury or even death.

Additionally, a witness reported to authorities that they heard loud bangs and saw a small boat moving between the shore and a nearby yacht at the time of the fire.

Based on this new evidence, the leading theory is that someone—likely from the boat—came ashore, set off the firecrackers, and inadvertently started the fire.
