Twenty-four New Democracy (ND) MPs submitted a query to the Parliament describing the offsetting of the ENFIA tax with tax returns, oil tax and electoral benefits as “absurd”.

The MPs, headed by Fotini Arabatzi, called on the relevant ministers to stop the withholding of the total ENFIA and argued that “it is paradoxical, if not absurd, to submit a favorable settlement for overdue payments in 72 and 100 installments while at the same time to withhold in advance all the amount of this year’s bloated ENFIA”.
