“Finally, some good news.” According to sources, this was the comment made by a government official following the announcement of the ECB stress test results for four systemic banks of Greece on Sunday. In fact, the official reportedly said that soon there would be more positive developments, further improving the state of Greek economy.

The Greek government races against time ahead of the next meeting with the troika in December for the assessment of the country’s economy. The election of the President of Greece is a thorny issue for the government, as the inability to elect a head of state could lead to early elections.
