Ships depart from the port of Piraeus for the islands in the morning, with the last of the July licensees leaving the capital.

Early in the morning, traffic is heavy, with ships leaving for the Cyclades and Dodecanese islands sailing with high occupancy rates, 85%.

A few places are still available for those who choose to travel last minute, with many groups and couples choosing the islands for short breaks.

Many students and pupils have chosen Paros and Naxos as their travel destinations for this summer after the Panhellenic Exams.
