During a press conference at the Amphipolis archeological museum, the General Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Ms Lina Mendoni stated that: “The progress made so far indicates that there are clear signs of human intervention. Since the beginning and in the duration of the excavations we have repeatedly supported that there were strong indications of human intervention”.
Ms Mendoni also denied categorically any rumors of finding gold objects in the chambers, while she expressed her believe that the third chamber is the last one.
“From what we’ve seen so far, there is no indication of another chamber”, she added.
In regards to who is the person buried in the tomb, the General Secretary made clear once again that the identity of the person remains unknown.
