On the occasion of one year since Aegean Airlines merger with Olympic Air, Aegean Vice-president Eftihis Vasilakis stated on Wednesday that the carrier will invest 300 million Euros for the purchase of seven new Airbus A320ceos in the period 2015-2016.
Mr. Vasilakis told reporters that the aim of the company was to raise its fleet to 70 aircraft in 2023 from 50 today, covering 350 destinations with a passenger traffic of 14-15 million.
With safety as its number-one priority, Aegean has invested heavily in state-of-the-art, brand-new planes, control systems, technical support and staff training.
The carrier’s fleet of planes undergo meticulous day-by-day maintenance by the airline’s technical crew, consisting of engineers, aircraft construction specialists and mechanics.
