Society in Laconia and the entire country is in shock at the revelation that a father of two children is alleged to have raped his minor daughter, now 9 years old, for years from when she was the tender age of 4.

The 40-year-old man was taken to the District Attorney’s OfficeSparta yesterday afternoon. A video shows that as he was leaving the Sparta courthouse, gathered citizens waited for him to boo him while they booed him strongly with heavy language.

The accused was transferred to the Prosecutor’s Office wearing a bulletproof vest and, after a procedure that lasted more than 1.5 hours, he was given a deadline to apologize next Monday (12/8) at 10:00 am. Until then, the 40-year-old will remain in custody while a lawyer to represent him has been duly appointed.

Horror and horror are being caused by revelations about the actions of a 40-year-old father of two who lived in a village in Sparta, accused of raping his underage daughter since the little girl was just four years old.

The local community is in shock unable to believe what the 40-year-old appears to have done outrageously to his child over the years, even threatening that if he talks then he will end up in jail.

These are heinous acts that he did not hesitate to capture and store in a hidden folder on his mobile phone. Indicative of the horror is the fact that police officers found a total of 79 photos of the minor on the device.

The couple lived in Menidi and divorced four years ago. The woman then moved to a village in Sparta and shortly afterward the perpetrator followed her “so he could see his children”, as he said.

How the case was revealed
The grisly case came to light when the victim broke down and revealed to her mother what she was tragically going through at the hands of her father. After that, the mother immediately approached the authorities and reported that her ex-husband had been performing sexual acts against their minor daughter for the last 5 years.

According to reports, the tangle began to unravel when the little girl’s brother spotted a condom in his father’s house and asked him what it was. He replied that it was his girlfriend’s.

But on returning home, the boy recounted what happened to his mother with his sister being in the same room. When the girl heard the story she burst into tears and when her mother asked her what was going on she began to tell her about the horrors of living at the hands of her father.

She even confided to her mother that all this time her father was threatening her that if she revealed his actions then he would go to jail.

The man was arrested and a case was filed against him for rape, child abuse, sexual act between relatives, and pornography of minors.
