How to Make Easy Homemade Sugar-Free Ice Cream

I scream for ice cream

Newsroom August 26 05:03

Who doesn’t love ice cream? Especially on warm days, it’s the sweetest way to cool down. However, ice cream often comes with extra calories and potential guilt. How can we avoid this? We can make a sugar-free ice cream with just a few ingredients, primarily using fruits. To sweeten it a bit more, we add 1 tablespoon of honey.

Here are two different recipes:

1. Banana and Cottage Cheese Ice Cream
Ingredients (for 2 servings)

  • 1 container of cottage cheese
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Cinnamon (optional)
  • 12 cherries (diced)

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into small pieces, place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and freeze for at least 20 hours.
  2. Once frozen, transfer the bananas to a blender, add the cottage cheese, honey, and cinnamon. Blend well until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Divide the mixture into two bowls and freeze. In 2 hours, you’ll have soft ice cream, and in 4 hours, it will be firmer. Serve with diced cherries for extra flavor!
