Vladimir Putin must lose the war and be “humiliated” in Ukraine, as the end of his reign is the only solution for peace, said Vladimir Kara-Murza, one of the most prominent critics of the Russian president, who was recently released in a prisoner exchange.

“It is very important not to let Vladimir Putin win the war against Ukraine,” Kara-Murza stated in an interview with AFP ahead of his scheduled meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“And it is very important not to allow Putin to salvage his image as he exits this war,” he emphasized.
