An accident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Nea Smyrni when a tram struck a 15-year-old boy.
According to reports, the tram hit the 15-year-old who was riding a scooter. Sources say the minor is bleeding from the head but is in stable condition, with no immediate threat to his life. He is being transported by EKAV to Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital.
Tram services from Athens to Faliro have been suspended at this time. The incident occurred on El. Venizelou Avenue, at the border between Nea Smyrni and Palaio Faliro.
