Erdogan: Israeli aggression targets Turkey, we will resist with all means

"While Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and terrorist attacks in Lebanon, at the same time it is trying with all kinds of provocations to draw the countries of the region into its fire," the Turkish president said

Israeli aggression targets Turkey, says Recep Tayyip Erdogan from the floor of the Turkish National Assembly, on the occasion of his speech at the opening of the new parliamentary term, adding that for the sake of his country and its independence, his country will oppose this “state terrorism” with all the means at its disposal.

“While Israel is committing genocide in Gaza and terrorist attacks in Lebanon, at the same time it is trying to draw the countries of the region into its fire with all kinds of provocations,” the Turkish president said.

Tayyip Erdogan claimed that “after Palestine and Lebanon, the Israeli government, motivated by the illusion of the Promised Land, will target our homeland. Occupation, terrorism and aggression are right next to us. Opposite us is not a state bound by law, but a murderous herd that feeds on blood and thrives on occupation.”

The Turkish president also claimed that “Israeli aggression includes Turkey,” adding that “for our homeland, our nation and our independence, we will stand against this state terrorism with every means at our disposal.”

“I warn Israel clearly, the consequences of its land operation in Lebanon will not be similar to its previous occupations,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, among other things, without specifying what those consequences would be, and stressed that “while the world system is being radically shaken, our Parliament will guide both our country and our geography with dignity, common sense and consensus.”
