Prime Minister Antonis Samaras asserted that the government intends to complete its four-year term on Thursday when addressing the New Democracy (ND) party committee that is revewing a proposal to revise the Greek constitution. Mr. Samaras said that there is enough leeway for the completion of the first phase of the revision by June 2916 and begin the second phase with the next Parliament, as the Constitution provides.
Mr. Samaras said that another argument in favor of a smooth election for the president of the Republic in 2015 is so that the revision of the constitution can continue uninterrupted giving young Greeks the chance to develop their dreams freely with the help of a modern and innovative Constitution.
Mr. Samaras believes that Greece will have a new Constitution by 2017. This will allow Greece to acquire a new national vision.
