Giorgos Papandreou: Support for Haris Doukas – “PASOK should become a force for change again”

Indirectly but clearly, the former Prime Minister offers his support - He calls on people to turn out en masse at the polls.

Newsroom October 12 05:16

The message of support for Ηaris Doukas for tomorrow’s battle is sent implicitly but clearly by Giorgos Papandreou, stressing that “PASOK was and should become a force for change again.”

Referring to the word “change”, which was the slogan of Charis Doukas’s election campaign, the former prime minister and president of PASOK called on the people to turn out en masse tomorrow at the polls for the leadership election and stressed, “We have a choice, let’s make it happen”. His post on social networks reads as follows:

“Our Participation, Starting Point of Battle for Progressive Transition. With our participation tomorrow, we take a stand. We vote for a strong PASOK, for a strong Progressive Party.

We have great challenges ahead of us. We can win them. The future of Greece is in our hands. A different future, better for all. With our mass presence at the polls, we pave the way for progress.

PASOK was and is the answer to maintenance. PASOK was and must become a force for change again.

The battle for the Progressive Party is a battle for democracy. Our future is today in the hands of progressive citizens. We have a choice. Let us put it into practice.”
