Following the end of the protest march commemorating the Polytechnic uprising on Monday evening, Public Order and Citizen Protection Minister Vassilis Kikilias visited the Attica region’s police headquarters (GADA) in Athens.
“I came here to speak to the men and women of our police force and express my hope that someday, the Greek society will be mature enough not to need Greek police to commemorate the Polytechnic uprising,” Mr. Kikilias stated.
Commenting on the police measures taken this year, the Public Order Minister stressed that his ministry has done its duty and, as a result, there were only minor problems this year.
