Apostolos Lytras: On 4 April the trial for the beating of Polyzogopoulou

The attorney will be tried for domestic dangerous bodily injury with intent, which is a misdemeanor

Newsroom October 29 03:07

On April 4, Apostolos Lytras will sit in the dock of the Monopolium Court of Appeal, accused of beating her estranged wife Sophia Polyzogopoulou. The hearing of this case was set for next April and before a single-member Court of Appeal, due to special jurisdiction, given the accused’s status as a lawyer.

Apostolos Lytras will sit in the dock of the criminal court with a verdict issued last summer by the Athens Plenary Council. According to it, the lawyer will be tried (upon conversion of the original felony charge of grievous bodily harm) for domestic dangerous bodily harm with intent (misdemeanor).

It should be noted that in the same verdict, the judges had decided to lift the remand of the accused, who had remained in prison for beating his estranged wife for 2.5 months.
