Former conspiracy of “Fire Nuclei” member arrested for attempting to murder his uncle

The arrested individual had previously been involved in a 2011 shooting against police officers in the Pefki area

Officers from the Northeast Attica Security Division arrested a former member of the Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei on Friday afternoon (Nov. 1) on charges of attempting to murder his uncle.

According to reports, the suspect allegedly entered his 84-year-old uncle’s home on the afternoon of Wednesday, October 30. He approached the elderly man in the living room and attacked him with a knife, inflicting serious injuries before fleeing the scene.

The elderly man was transported to Gennimatas Hospital with injuries to his neck and body.

Police officer arrested after fatal traffic accident in central Athens

A case has been filed against the 34-year-old suspect for attempted homicide, and he was later located and arrested in the Cholargos area.

It should be noted that, according to the Hellenic Police’s investigation, the suspect was involved in a 2011 incident in which shots were fired at police officers in the Pefki area of Attica.

His fingerprints were also found in a hideout belonging to the Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei organization, and he was imprisoned in 2011.
