A non-commissioned officer of the Underwater Demolition Command tragically lost his life on Friday morning.

According to the announcement from the Hellenic Navy General Staff (HNGS):

“On Friday, November 29, 2024, at approximately 12:10, during training at the Underwater Demolition Command, Leading Seaman (T/HN/DB) A.K. lost consciousness.

Immediate first aid was administered to the non-commissioned officer, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) was performed by qualified medical personnel. He was then transported to Attiko Hospital, where, despite the persistent efforts of the hospital’s medical staff, his death was confirmed.
