“He forced me to molest children from the age of 5” – What the wife of the Parliament police officer testified

"He hit me with punches and kicks, burned me with the gasoline" - "His sick acts were recorded on camera", the woman claimed

Newsroom December 4 06:15

Under a regime of absolute terror, it is alleged, the 35-year-old wife of the House police officer herself and their children
lived.

“It all started just before 2016. My husband was forcing me by force and threatening to molest our children. The girls were not 5 years old. Out of my fear and the beating he was giving me I was forced to obey. The children couldn’t react either because he beat them and threatened them,” the 35-year-old stressed in her statement, according to Mega and the Live news show.

She added: “Lately I have been constantly discussing with my daughters about what we can do to get out of this sick situation. The girls have been begging me to leave. His sick acts were recorded with a camera he had and some with his mobile phone. But because he always controlled and had access to everyone’s cell phones and accounts, I’m afraid he might delete the evidence himself or have our son delete it.”

The beginning of their relationship

The first “signs” of abusive behavior were apparent from the beginning of their relationship, but she said she did not react: “Our first date was in Syntagma Square. He stood me up. I called him and he didn’t answer, until one day when he picked up the phone he said ‘I’m not coming after all. Goodbye!”. Several days later, we arranged for him to pick me up from the school. By motorbike, we went to Porto Rafti. From then on we were together and even from the same day I went to live in his house. A month later, I saw his other face. I remember I was sitting in the yard at his house and I was on the phone with a friend of mine. At one point I said a curse word as I was talking. When I hung up, he walked up to me and gave me a very strong slap. I was devastated. “I don’t tolerate my girlfriend talking like that! What are you? Someone from the street?” She said to me. I didn’t react. I accepted it.”

Things got worse, as the 35-year-old described, “As time went on, things got worse. At first, he was giving me punches, slaps, and kicks. Then the violence in the sexual act started. I have marks next to my eyebrows from being hit with the baton. On my back and chest burns. He burned me with a lighter and a gas can. With candles. I always told him I didn’t want to, I cried inconsolably, but he claimed I was immoral because I’d had relationships before him and that I had to go through trials to prove to him that I deserved to be with him.”

Jealous Behavior

The 35-year-old claims the abusive behavior stemmed from her husband’s jealousy: “He had broken my mobile phone because he saw that colleagues were texting me but not erotically. He was generally jealous. He was controlling me. I had to report back to him all day if he wasn’t with me about where I was and what I was doing. He would arrange what I would wear and insult me if I had my nails done or wore makeup. And every time after the incidents of violence, he made sure to give me gifts. One time when he was late for the subway, when I got home he started beating me and demanded that I admit to him that I was with someone else. He tortured me until he got the answer he wanted.”

The officer’s wife also referred to the period when she was hospitalized in the military psychiatric hospital: “In January 2024 and because I couldn’t take it anymore this sickening situation, I went alone to the 401 Military Hospital and asked on my own to be admitted. I stayed for a month and the doctors diagnosed emotional disturbance as a consequence of the domestic violence I had experienced. I didn’t mention the rest of what was happening to the doctors because I was infinitely ashamed of what my husband was making me do. Then I started taking antidepressants which I stopped as soon as I became pregnant again.”

“One time I was so beaten with his baton that I went to work in a very bad state. My co-workers at the time were aware of it because they saw the scars and my swollen face from the punches. At that time my supervisor and the psychologist had called me. They asked me what was wrong but I lied that everything was fine. This year I filed another complaint against him for domestic violence, I had mentioned that he was beating our children with a baton as well. Then by order of the prosecutor, they were ordered to be examined by a child psychologist. But their father forced them to lie that he had never beaten them and had even forced me to teach them a lesson on what to say. Forensically they were never examined.”
