The film about the life of the great popular singer Stelios Kazantzidis, Yparho, premiered at the Pallas Theater.
Over 1,200 people watched the film, in the presence of the director, Giorgos Tsemperopoulos, the lead actor, Christos Mastoras, as well as actors and contributors.
Christos Mastoras, Klelia Renesi, Asimenia Vulioti, Agoritsa Oikonomou, Dimitris Kapouranis, Anna Simeonidou, Giorgos Gallos, Giorgos Karamichos, Nikos Psarras, Giorgos Giannopoulos, Diamantis Karanastasis, Ilias Valasis, Periklis Siountas, and other contributors attended the premiere and received a warm round of applause from the audience.
However, even before its official release in cinemas on December 19, the film Yparho has already managed to capture the public’s attention.
Videos from the official premiere of the film were posted on social media, with Christos Mastoras’ fans praising him and calling him “their own Kazantzidis.”
Christos Mastoras’ performance as Stelios Kazantzidis was met with very positive comments, including from Vasso Kazantzidi, the wife of the late singer, who emphasized in her statements that “if Stelios had seen the film, he would have been very pleased.”
Of course, the singer’s partner, Garyfallia Kalifoni, also made sure to praise him for the way he portrayed the role, with a post on Instagram. “How proud I am,” she writes.
