The dilemma of European elections on next Sunday was raised by Development Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, presenting a KEPE study, whereby in the last 22 months, an investment of 37.6 billion euros has come to Greece.
Within that are included 9.7 billion of the Elliniko investment, the TAP pipeline and the recapitalization of Eurobank. The 1.4 billion of the Fast track, 17.4 billion from private investments and privatizations, 7.3 billion from projects made with Public and Private sector partnerships, and 1.8 billion of investment plans submitted in 2013 and are included in development law.
These 37.6 billion do not include the 4 billion investment plans submitted for the inclusion of the development framework of the first part of 2014, which are currently still being evaluated.
The most important point is that 18.8 billion of the new investment is directed towards new projects and the installation of new production units which will in turn create multiple benefits for the Greek economy and boost employment.
