According to information of the thestival.gr,the incident took place around 20:20 in the evening in the area of Nea Ionia, close to the old bridge of the French river in Thessaloniki.

The fire department officers managed to rescue the eight member family which was  trapped in their home with the water of the river inserting the house reaching the two meters.

All members of the family are now transferred in a safe place.
