A man that had been missing since yesterday, after he was swept away by the swollen Gallikos River in Central Macedonia, Greece, was found dead today.
Officers of the local police department and the fire brigade have been searching for the man since he went missing on Wednesday evening, focusing on the area of Nea Philadelphia in Thessaloniki.
Unfortunately, their search came to a tragic end when they discovered the drowned man’s body.
It is not clear yet how the man fell in the river, which has been swollen due to the heavy rains of the last few days.
Meanwhile, a second man that went missing during the night, after his car fell in a river channel close to a village named Aspro, in Kilkis, was also found dead this morning.
