His action of  removing the names of three of his relatives from the Lagarde list drove the former Minister of Finance to the Special Court.

Mr. Papakostantinou “With intent he distorted document which was accessible to him due to his service, causing damage to the government”.

More specifically, the Lagarde list (in the form of CD) was sent by the General Directorate of Public Ministry of Finance of France and contained 2.062 tabs of account movements in the USB Swiss Bank.  Mr. Papakonstantinou deleted three electronic files bearing the names (file names).
