An alarm was raised yesterday (9/1) at the “Red Cross” hospital following an elevator fall that resulted in four people being injured.

According to reports, following an order from the Prosecutor, the Hellenic Police (EL.AS) are searching for the last technician who maintained the elevator in order to arrest them.

It should be noted that an internal investigation has been ordered to look into the incident. Meanwhile, the hospital stated in its announcement:
“This specific elevator complied with all safety regulations. The last two maintenance checks were conducted on 02/12/2024 and 19/12/2024, and the elevator maintenance contract is active.”
