Russia and Iran will sign a “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement” on Friday during a visit to Russia by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Kremlin announced today.
“On January 17, Vladimir Putin will hold talks with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian,” who will pay an official visit to Russia, the Russian presidency said.
The two presidents “will sign the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement between Russia and Iran and make statements to the media,” it added.
According to the same source, the two leaders will discuss options for further expanding relations between Moscow and Tehran, including trade and investment, transport and logistics, and humanitarian action.
