A new earthquake of 4.7 Richter struck Santorini at 19:45. It was preceded by a 4.5 Richter earthquake in the same location at 19:41.

According to the revised data from the Geodynamic Institute, the focal depth of the 4.5 Richter earthquake is 13.5 kilometers, with its epicenter located south of Arkesini, Amorgos.

The same epicenter was also the source of the larger 4.7 Richter earthquake that occurred shortly afterward; however, this tremor had a focal depth of 14.9 kilometers.
