The weather will put obstacles in several areas for the traditional kite flight today, as on the one hand the winds will be weak in several areas of the central and northern mainland and on the other hand until noon there will be rain in some places, mainly in the eastern mainland and the Aegean.
The director of forecasts of EMY, Thodoris Kolydas, advises “there is no need to get up at dawn to fly the kite, as there will be rain in places in the east and south“.
“After noon the weather will improve,” he added in his post on X.
See the map of meteo.gr in which the areas where we expect wind intensities above 3 Beaufort are shown in yellow shades, the areas where we expect wind intensities above 6 Beaufort are shown in orange shades and the areas where we expect very weak winds are shown in grey shades.
